The Full SHARED FANTASY

LATENT

A state of existing but lying dormant.

Each track outline the stages of ‘becoming’  oneself. From being entangled in someone else's fantasy to finding clarity, strength, and independence in your own reality.

CHAPTER 1: THIS IS HOW YOU TURN EVIL

The headlining power ballad  "Black Widow Baby" and the sister track pop-banger "Web of Lies"  explore how an enchantment, beautiful fantasy becomes a sinister prison you can't detach from.

"Am I your butterfly or your next meal?"

- Black Widow Baby

"But your make belief, is my best relief"

- Web of Lies

CHAPTER 2: ACCOUNTABILITY: THE ANTIDOPTE TO VICTIMHOOD

“Don’t Scream When You Burn” is a metaphor for self-destructive love that lingers long after it ends. The lyrics depict running from a fire, only to realise the flames come from within. It’s a dark, poetic warning of trauma bonding,  that once you’ve touched the fire, you can’t complain about the burn.

The track captures the torment of craving the very thing that hurt you, showing how love can become a psychological prisoN.

"Miss me from the distance, I'll keep my resistance"

CHAPTER 3: HEAVEN-TO-HELL AND BACK

“Snakes and Ladders” is a dark RnB track that depicts love as the game that’s a never ending staircase. A portrayal of emotional manipulation, and the cycle of rising hope followed by betrayal, framed within the game we used to play as kids. Even though you know you need to stop playing, you can't.

"Why can't I escape the trance, that binds me right inside your hands?"

- Snakes and Ladders

CHAPTER 4: ACCEPTING YOUR SHADOW

In the later stages of Latent, darkness is not being fought back anymore. The tracks “Love Your Enemy”, “Marionette”, “Stockholm Syndrome Baby”, and “Not Afraid of Spiders” depict a raw, uncomfortably honesty, once you revoke the right to be ashamed.

Do not run from your shadow. Learn to walk with it, wear it, even wield it.

However, the more you embrace it, the more you may become like those who abuse you.

"I hate what I've become. But I guess your will be done. Like a Marionette. And I think I don't mind it."

- Marionette

(coming soon)

"Show you how to hate. Show you how to envy. Show you what it really means to Love Your Enemy"

- Love Your Enemy

"My void and abyss, you didn't think that you would fall into it"

- Not Afraid of Spiders

(coming soon)

"Perfect Anti-Saviour. Let me return the favour."

- Stockholm Syndrome Baby

(coming soon)

CHAPTER 5: YOU'RE ALWAYS BOUND TO LOSING YOUR MIND

The final song, White Knight, depicts love as a chess game with no winning moves.

Falling in love is the same as admitting defeat - "you're always bound to losing your mind"

"Whichever piece you choose.

Whatever you've got to prove.

There are no winning moves

In the game built for you to lose."

- White Knight
